Week 8 # Answer boards and social searching

Ahhh technology. What happened to the days where customers wrote down there reveiws on ieces of paper and shared them only with their friends?? And items in the library were borrowed because borrowers had heard they were a good read from there family?

OH NO NOW ITS ALL CHANGED! Borrowers can now post there complaints, reveiws and reccommendations on answer boards. And how wonderful it is.

Customers would really enjoy doing this in the library as they like to share with everyone the types of things they like to read and what they reccomend not to read. They would also be able to comment on the events and activities that we are planning to hold in the library and therefor more(FREE!!!!!) publicity for us!

Sites like "Yahoo!7 Answers" are a great way to communicate effectivly with other poeple who visit the site. People can enlighten you with their knowledge on questions you have asked and new information can be found.

ABSOLUTLEY FANTASTIC!

Although where is the privacy? There is other ways that you can find out answers. By doing a google search or go onto Ask.com for a more private way of gwetting your questions answered.

As for the answer boards being used for libraries though, Great idea! =]

Thanks for your enthusiastic views on social searching. As you point out there are lots of opportunities and also a few challenges with these new tools.
